Is it possible for me get the pins out of a Deutsch connector as shown below as the sensor it connects to is operating in reverse.

Or is it cut the wires and reverse them and resolder.

Connector only plug together one way

Remove the black plastic cap from the back first. Then I usually use a bit of mig wire to slide in and press the tab down. The pin will then pull it the back of the plug but you may need to tweak the tab back up before replacing it to make sure it clicks back in. Bit of a fiddle but definitely possible.

Pin end usually. If you look down at the pins you should be able to see the little tabs (depending on you eyesight 😂) I think there’s little recess in the plastic just above the pin. I’m pretty sure its not the side of the pin with the big gap if that makes sense.

What model of a Deutsch connector is it btw not familiar with them

dont know what its called for certain, maybe an AMP or a superseal? its definatly not a deutsch connector.

you can chop both male and female off then do it and fit a deutsch connector cause there very good and easy to assemble/take apart.

I'm sure that is not a Superseal. Close but no cigar.

Looks more like Delphi's equivalent of the Superseal, but I'm on mobile so hard to check which one it is exactly.

As already said, you can release the pins out of them, swap around and push back in.

A bit of wire can do it, though the right shape tool makes it easier. A bit like the tools to remove car radios. You can get sets of tools the right shape to do all manner of different brands connectors

Aptiv (formerly Delphi) Metri-Pack 150

If you ever do want to buy those, just be aware that there seems to be at least 3 different versions with the shape of the plastic around the pins, so that a male one version will not fit into a female of another version.

Other brands such as Deutsch have different versions of plugs to, so manufactures can use different plugs on a wiring loom with multiple plugs so it can only be installed one way, but I'm finding Aptiv's different variations of connectors aren't as well distinguished.
