Dewalt…. I’m addicted

i prefer dewalt to makita tbh.
I’m the reverse.
Five minutes or the full half hour? 🤣
I have 40 year old dewalt items and 30 year old Makita items.
Makita were certainly ahead in the cordless game.
Dewalt were there with mains workshop machinery in the 80’s and probably before that. But then there were Wadkin machines❤️
Ryobi were in the running too. I have a 40 year old Ryobi portable chain morticing machine that has build several timber barn frames.

Love the little Dewalt impact drivers, paired with a 5 a/h battery they can do a lot of work in a day and punch well above their weight. The ideal bit of kit for changing wearing metal.

Seems to be the way. Longest surviving 9" grinder here was a Makita from the 80s, but I don't expecting any new grinder to last as long now.
When the gearbox on my Makita failed, I had a look inside and there was very little grease in it so I opened my other grinders and they were the same so those and the Makita replacement were duly topped up.
