Although half of that would appear to be tail which I presume could be tucked underneath. I guess to be on the safe side it's best to assume otters at their maximum weight of 8kg. 🤔

The Lockheed McDonnell 3-12 is assumed to be modelled on the McDonnell 220 which has a payload of about 8000kg. How many staff would a plane full of otters need? Two pilots, a couple of flight attendants and a couple of bouncers to break up fights (otters looks fighty to me) sound enough? So maybe six at an average weight of 80kg plus a 20kg baggage allowance each is 600kg of humans which leaves 7400kgs of otters if flying fully laden, or 925 otters. :geek:

Better make it 900 otters so there's room to take some lunch. That's probably quite enough for most people's requirements anyway. 🙂

i've liked it but TBH i havn't a clue wot your on about :scratchhead:

I dunno. Primmiemoo wanted to know so I guess she needs more otters in Devon.

Arthur guestimated he could fit a million on Gerti (from Cabin Pressure, spin. It's a sitcom-cum-documentary, on the radio, m'lud). Yours sounds a far better reasoned, and therefore more likely number.

Thanks. One does try to be logical in all things, including cramming otters into an imaginary plane.

A million does seem rather a lot and the wrangling would be a nightmare. Even 900 would be a hassle but I guess you could stack them tight so they can't wriggle too much, assuming the seats have been removed.

Don't mention otters to my old man, I'd imagine you will get a swift Fergie hair dryer 🗣️💥!!!;;!!!! There's a rouge otter that's been raiding his and others local villages garden ponds. Four villages have been visited all are connected by a single stream! A 'local' set up a game camera and saw the burglar in action.
Dad said he has only 2 fish left and has put a electric fence around the pond. I didn't think the was otter in Wales less yet Aberystwyth!

Otters are in Wales for sure and googling says the Teifi is a special conservation river for them so they're likely to be in the Ystwyth too. Unlucky for your dad.

I should market those ‘conveniences’ very handy, although emptying might be fun, or if you are stopped by the law with a full load on it could make some interesting explaining...

tbf i was thinking of 'dragons den' with it;).....my other idea was a sorta burial at sea device that could be fitted to a wheelie bin for pet burials;)
