I usually only use a Carrier 3m before drilling with a 3m Rapid. Problem is, i feel even if waiting as long as possible for the soil to dry out, in a system without ploughing, the soil is often still not quite dry enough. I get OK yields, but just wonder if i could do something to avoid that possible disc compaction. Obviously waiting even longer, but sometimes its a tradeoff with the weather and getting something drilled. Is there a better implement combination? I want to minimize tillage, so direct drilling is an option i guess.
