Discount schemes for new pick ups a waste of time?

I believe you can negotiate as much discount
without becoming a member of a farming or sporting organisation .
Over several years this will cost you a fair bit along
with having to wait 6 to 12 months to activate the discount!

Thoughts?

The nfu and basc discount is set by the manufacturers and that’s it.toyota is currently 19%.ford was 15% a couple weeks ago when I asked.if you buy on a fleet deal you will get I beleive 23% from Toyota but that’s for 3 or more.you can often run a vehicle for a year and then trade it in for more than you paid for it

Try actually doing it. BASC (via Tyson Cooper) got Mrs Brisel £3800 off her BMW 1 Series. The dealer couldn't match that.

£4k off a new Ranger and similar off a Navarra via my buying group, but I haven't approached the dealer directly to see what they'd do for me as a retail sale. I will do so for interest.

I don't need to :)
Just got over £5k off no scheme.
Which goes back to the title thread.

I negotiated a dealer discount on my Ranger then mentioned I would be taking advantage of Scottish Land & Estates discount . I forget the exact figures but I was pretty pleased with myself .

Some Ford dealers will apparently add the standard discount to the normal discount to give a massive discount of around 22%. Someone copied an invoice to this place to prove it. I was surprised, as I did not believe they did that, but they did, including on all Ford accessories. The Ranger Wildtrak was discounted to around £22k if I remember correctly, including tow hitch etc.

Sometimes you can get extra discount if its old stock they want to shift because of
a change to the model!
