Those 300 ton bins were 9 m dia.

Bottom rings need replacing due to corrosion. I spoke to a guy at LAMMa about getting replacements. Would it be acceptable/safe to add another ring to increase capacity?

they are imperial rolled sheets and you can get them we got some last year but you need to mearsure the hole spacing along the seam as they are different for each maker

Thats what the chap at LAMMA told me - just wondered if increasing capacity was allowable

yes but dont go mad and order thick sheets to use at low level , who did you speak to

That was one of the questions - are the lower sheets thicker? Ill have a look for his card

yes new bins tend to use stiffners on the outside and all same size sheets unless mega size,,, old ones tend to grade sizes up the bin unless v small ones

are yes tony and ashley ... they will sort you no problem good people to deal with they did ours shown me round the factory when i collected the roll and make there own in house

Fair point Mick about tyre/rim size, but your lifting steel plate silos,
Also yes to a point you can’t move a bin when Telehandler on jack legs, but why if dismantling, would you want too,
Lastly Ploughman. Remove roof panels before last ring, with some support in the middle, if you don’t the whole roof will fold in on itself,
Yes. This system is probably not totally ideal. But using proper jacking system is time consuming, and costly, out weighing value of second hand bins, BE SAFE,

I agree about supporting the roof before you dismantle it from the top ring. We didn't the first time, thinking it would be like the ones we normally do.

Yes, so sit the last ring on the floor then dismantle the roof panels.
