Wife and I were dowsing in the garden; I knew what was underground she didn't. I said ask the rods to show you the heating oil pipe. She walked across the lawn but the rods crossed in 2 places. After a while I remembered I had put in a new line and left a redundant one; they were about 6 yards apart. Then asked her to find a heating oil pipe with oil in, off she went and found the used one but not the other. This would indicate that you need to be specific in your intention or question.
