I have a couple of calfs a week old with breath difficulties and heart racing been to the vet got draxin into the vain calf looks bright but breathing still laboured

Get your vet to test a number of youngstock.
It is a real killer, go hard and early steroids if required.
Vaccinating youngstock prior to housing this coming autumn.

Any thing else it could be calf can stand but staggery but would rather lay down

Could be anything, vit e,selenium lead poisoning, bracken etc etc, just call the vet.
