Today I noticed a JD 735D Header in the local JD dealers yard. So as above do JD make them or MacDon?
Know doubt discussed before, but what are the pros and cons of Draper headers over conventional? I assume they cost a lot more than conventional header,as if combines dont cost enough in conventional header format!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty sure JD make their own, Case ones have historically been made by Macdon.
Smooth even feed of crop into feeder house is the usual benefit before the flex modes of the FD. General rule of thumb is add 5 foot to your cutter bar if going draper and you’ll still cut at the same ground speed. For example if you have a 25ft auger front, you could go to a 30ft draper front and cut at the same speed because of the very even feeding so gaining you 20% output..
The FD or flex draper models follow the ground counters by flexing and following the contours for low podding or down crops like soya beans, they cut like a barbers cut throat shave...
