Seems like when a product becomes generic it’s the deaf nail for it. New products are protected by there manufacturer look at inatreq making sprayers leak all over the (public roads footpaths) . Increased exposure to operators having to fix the machines I believe that product should be withdrawn

If you were a cynical person you might wonder banning which products would hurt UK growers the most post-Brexit? Of course the answer would be Chlorothalonil, a very cost-effective preventative product for the control of Septoria which is a big problem in the main arable regions of the UK.

It was not banned by the EU, it was banned by CRD. They had the power to retain, but as it was not safe by modern standards it went.
