What's the nest way to keep the docks at bay, more than i'd like now in year 3. Presumably painstaking spot spraying is the only real option so as not to kill anything "flowery"? Thanks

I have the same problem but there aren't any sprays that will kill the docks and leave the flowers unfortunately. The flowers are often a similar height so weed wipers not much good either. My AB8 area is in the field and will return to arable afterwards so I will just tolerate them as additional 'habitat' and appreciate their deep rooted soil improving characteristics!

The question of dock control in red clover and grass leys has come up before but the consensus is even Clovermax will kill the clover before it kills established docks

I used 24db with an amidosulfuron type product years ago. It didn’t kill the red clover but was like a pause button on growth until it was cut. Didn’t really kill the docks either but was better than nothing at the time.

Correction: I think it was pinnacle in the mix.

I’m told you can’t get 2-4DB now.
