Docks

Noticed here this year that the more docks are cut the easier they die
I sprayed 50odd acre after 1st cut and 1 field the sheep didn't get to in the spring ,big strong docks at first cut and a few are regrowing even tho it looked like I had a 100% kill
Other fields then that had been grazed later in spring had a good kill of docks

Think from now on I'll spray after 2nd cut to really deplete the root reserves before spraying

Of course.

Starane Hi-load works out the cheapest from what I have seen this year. We have an ok price on it, a couple of farmers have said it can be got for under £130 - but from un-named sources:

We have Starane Hi-load at £139 per 10l - https://www.marketplace.farm/inputs/pesticides/starane-hi-load-hl-10l-333g-fluroxypyr/
and Hurler at £56 per 5l - https://www.marketplace.farm/inputs/pesticides/herbicides/hurler-5l-l-fluroxypyr/

Have had docks grow through Pas Tor treatment this year, presumably due to dry conditions following treatment. Applied with 200l/ha and good coverage:unsure:.

Pas is 150 g / l fluroxypyr and 150 g / l triclopyr what rate did you put the Pas on at?

Also on prices, I just asked Lucy and although Starane Hi-Load works out cheaper, we have sold Hurler every day for the last week and sold no Starane Hi-Load at all. Shows that farmers buy by brand name.

By my calculations pas tor put on at the 2l/ha rate works out the same strength as doxstar pro but with added clopyralid. Should’ve worked really.
