something tells me from the past there is a roll pin in the shaft behind the pulley that can shear, have to take pulley off to get to it
It was actually not uncommon for those bottom augers to break.
Drop the cover off the bottom of the auger & have look see where the loss of drive occurs.
Slip clutch plates
Wheel off. Hub off. New plates. Sorted.
Worth a go. 4 or 6 bolts iirc with locking wire to retain them.Will it adjust up @MF-ANDY , used it today , a big stone stuck in the elevator , been fine but the light on the dash isn't going out a full revs .

That's excellent gapples , many thanks , I think it will be fine for the rest of harvest , then I'll shove new plates in over the winter
Sure you can tighten them with the wheel on. Did on the 98 we had, did need new plates in that. Had to tighten the lexion this year, also with the wheel on.
Many years ago, to finish off a Sunday afternoon I cut a rubber disc out of an inner tube. Did fine but of course you have to know your not going to be collecting rocks, or firewood etc
