It was actually not uncommon for those bottom augers to break.
Drop the cover off the bottom of the auger & have look see where the loss of drive occurs.
Reckon where getting our 'elevators' mixed up here.? Had me confused until big stone got a mention.
As said above, LH wheel off, guard off and you should find a ring of bolts and springs wired together. Problem here is that if you over grease the nipple behind the pulley, it contaminates the clutch plates with grease. Needs stripping and cleaning. If your unlucky, it will have stripped the threads out of the hub or sheared the bolts off.

What torque should the bolts be done up to?

This is on a Dominator 118, the elevator (feed rake according to the book) kept stopping this evening. I thought it was a lot of soil causing it as we were cutting some very flat wheat but the wire on the 6 bolts was all broken and they all seemed very loose. Can’t see any springs on them though (our old 85 had springs on it)

That's excellent gapples , many thanks , I think it will be fine for the rest of harvest , then I'll shove new plates in over the winter

Sure you can tighten them with the wheel on. Did on the 98 we had, did need new plates in that. Had to tighten the lexion this year, also with the wheel on.
Many years ago, to finish off a Sunday afternoon I cut a rubber disc out of an inner tube. Did fine but of course you have to know your not going to be collecting rocks, or firewood etc

Don’t think you can blame the moddus, maybe you’ve got the same agronomist as me!

50% of the wheat is flat to the floor, any direct drillers would be embarassed about the amount of soil movement I am doing with my header??
