All our WOSR went in on 21st August and we started drilling wheat on September 12th at the drill trial

Aiming to start wheat drilling mid week, blackgrass problem fields are getting good germination due to low dormancy, so would be mad to plant these too early this year

All O.S.R. in by 28th August, drilled 48 acres wheat on 10th Sept and another 30 since then, nothing to drill at the mo probably a tad wet anyway

Need to get spring rape & beans off:rolleyes:

Most rape drilled by 5th Sept but one field to go as held up by straw stacks in the field. It will only take 1/2 day to do but the rain just won't let up long enough to get it in.

Will start wheat 24 hours after I can get some glyphosate on to kill off osr volunteers.

This field is actually destined for spring beans but there is a second flush of blackgrass in the rape stubbles so I'm giving it a while yet to get some more visible to spray off pre drilling.

This is 1 of the things I have learn't over the last 14 months or so, I now stop and have a fooking good look first;) and if it's not fit don't force it

I'm not disagreeing with you there, but the sowing & growing conditions are gradually going to get worse as autumn progresses - don't wait forever! Remember last year? How much better did September sowings do come harvest time?

No wheat here yet, done drilling plan and pre em recs ready for starting tomorrow but not going to happen now due to rainfall, hopefully another flush of black grass so can glyphosate again pre drilling

150ac in so far. Not the best of starts, seal went on hydraulic motor that drives the fan after two runs and been rained off and on every day since. Non able to be rolled but pushing on after last year.
