In my day as soon as a farmers kid passed their tractor test that kid, usually a lad, would arrive at school on his tractor rather than the bus. Probably doesn’t happen these days because there are fewer farm kids and you can’t park a Fendt in a standard school car park space.

There is schools in Donegal and they go to school every day on the tractor, they probably live to close to the school and there is no bus provided if you live within a certain distance, so it is probably less hassle to let them take the tractor than be driven there and lifted again.
