Duetz Argotron 165 mrk3 transmission oil leak

Evening. Problem with the tractor, end of last year our Duetz developed a transmission oil leak that appears to come from above the rear right axle housing (somewhere on top between the casting and cab), running down the front of the bell/axle housing next to the body. Doesn't always leak, but when it starts reasonable amount. I did take a picture this evening but its not come out, but basically you can't actually see anything, and absolutely no access.

There's a steel pipe that runs up and over which I'm going to take of just on the off chance it has a fracture - but I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea's.

Cheers, James

Your best approach would be wheel off, pressure wash it spotlessly clean, dry off with airline then get someone in cab to start operating services and look for a leak with torch, dont use your hand. Start off with holding brake pedal on to check trailer brake pipe and valve etc, then each spool, them lift and lower three point links straining at the top, pto on and off. Has it got a hydraulic pick up hitch or that damm Bill Bennet piece of s**t!!!

as above theres loads of hydraulic pipes on my mf there, but best to clean it all off properly run it then get wheel off to have a really good look, if you lucky could be easy fix

Actually when I come to think of it mine blew a rubber pipe under the cab floor one cold morning when I started it. It was like a return hose not high a pressure hose. I took the plate out of the cab floor to fix it. This is probably no help

Thanks for the suggestions - I might try and order and endoscope first, they seem fairly cheap and give it a clean up. Fail that as Mur Huwcun said, wheel off in which case!

Sorry bit of a long time getting back to the thread - for the off chance anyone else suffers the same. Taken the wheel off and it turns out that it was a fractured pipe just above the clutch hydraulic solenoid - square block with four bolts, a steel pipe turning 90 degree's downwards and running to the bottom to the left side of another sensor.

Re-brazed (in the picture just above the solenoid knob). The part number for the pipe/block is: d.2093.247037
