Check the simple things first. Are the fan and fins clear? Is the fan belt tight? Even if it tight, if its old it can be worn and polished, and as such can still slip.

Id give it a good clean and treat it to a new belt first. Not much else to go wrong to be honest

Whats the blower fan doing ? V belts fresh & tight ?? Oil thermostat in the exhaust manifold on these, progressively locks up the blower as egts get higher. Also there is a hyd oil temp sensor which will send the fan to full speed- it's on the bulkhead by the air filter. Pull off one of the two wires to check. Assuming you have properly power washed the cooling fins out and around the barrels?? Plenty of oil in her ? These are 50% oil cooled..

Dont cook it, pistons easily pick up on the liners.

Recently I blew out the fan and fins on my Honda 13 hp engine welder and there is big improvement in cooling... I know that it's not quite the same but not that much different

Power washed cooling fins and barrels had fresh oil and filter. Need to get new belts. Took Air filter out and noticed oil in ther.what would cause there to be oil in there?

I am familiar with the engine at all.....
But could there be an engine breather valve or filter blocked causing oil to run into filter
Back to cooling...... make sure there is no restriction where cold air enters and hot air exits

Will you help clear snow?
