Would anyone on here risk buying one that's made in China? Costs around £170, whereas Wynnstay and Promars version are well over the £700 mark.

For the potential saving of £550 i'd have a go. At worst you get a spare cluster and a dump bucket. But at that price it probably doesn't come with the motor to run it.

I remember asking a rep from Dairy Spares, that same question. He changed the subject pretty sharpish.

The ones Tim Gibson sells are made in Turkey and are about half the price of a bucket unit from Dairy Spares. If you do get one from TG, I'd advise changing the clawpiece , cups, liners etc straight away. The "as supplied" ones are shite, God only knows what Turkish cows look like, if they are designed to fit them. I have one and every time I use it it makes me realise why Turkey has never taken over the world.
