Easiest way to remove gorse roots?

I've just cleared about 10 acres of gorse and am now wondering how to get rid of the stumps.

My options appear to be:

Drag a ripper through and see what it does

Drag a disc harrow through and see what that does

Get a 360 with a riddle bucket and drag it about with that.

Does anyone have any better ideas?

I will most likely put rape or stubble turnips in the field so not too worried if its a bit rough this time around.

Sorry to be a know all but you should have ripped it all at one go the roots would have come out with ease and burnt the lot, you have made an easy job hard

Foreloader bucket with the edge set at just ground level and push. Would have been better with complete plants though.

Sorry to be a know all but you should have ripped it all at one go the roots would have come out with ease and burnt the lot, you have made an easy job hard

I had to chainsaw it to keep the tree huggers and the twitchers happy

Land rake on a 360. Riddle bucket will just dig holes and block up.

I thought he was talking about burning both, do nature a favour and use them as fertiliser.

Sorry can't help much- I mostly only chainsaw or flail as I'm strictly not allowed to touch the roots either because of the steepness/lack of soil or archeological reasons or both!

Naked tree huggers and gorse, now thats a good combination.

Flailed some off 2 years ago on a steep bank and the stumps are rotting now.

I'm pretty sure Grazon 90 in a knapsack will kill any regrowth,I did a few and it seemed to kill them.

True or false, never burn gorse, it opens up the seed in the ground so it can germinate and grow? you get gorse growing 4m+ up there?
