May not be correct place in here, but you may know...
Daughter just been in and is having a bit of a time with her domestic supply.
House is 2 up 2 down semi, cooking with electric and hot water, heating also, but only using one radiator at low level in lounge to keep damp at bay.
When she is not at home some days usage is logging £12, she was home and baking couple of days over Christmas and usage £6 day!!
Can these meters be wrong, can she ask for a check to be put on the supply?
Seems ridiculous to me.
Any advice please.

It’s funny you mention the usage. There was 6 of us and two children here on Christmas day, Turkey went in the oven 6.30 and oven was on then till everything was ready at about 1pm. We had countless cups of coffee during the morning and cooked a whole Christmas dinner. Used £9 something, over a pound less than Christmas eve and boxing day!!! We have a GSHP so use electric for heating and hot water aswell.

Remember , each body is chucking out about 1 Kw of heat per hour so your heat pump is working less. The oven while being a big draw for short intervals will actually only be working for short periods and heat lost will be going into the house anyway

Our theory was similar, doesn’t quite make sense that cooking all morning can heat the house more efficiently though!!!! 😂😂

I personally cannot wait to get one, actually I have one on my gas but it wont work as it needs its electrical mate to work but can I get that one :(
Had one installed here after I put the solar in, SSE or now OVO, seems fine, no issues, readings seems ok and tallies with what my inverter says.
