Have a 4.5m einbock seeder here , last couple of jobs I done it seems to sow less seed than it should and the seed doesn’t seem to bridge even though it calibrates right Just wondering is there anything to go wrong in the gearbox?

I’m not too familiar with the einbock drive system I have an Opico air 8 seeder which is land drive cable to seed rollers driven by a small belt . Mine had seized up over winter. Could ure system be seizing up and slipping the drive somehow ?

Drive hasn’t seized as it has a lot of work done so far this year and the indicator is revolving. Just went back and went over the last job with another 3 kg/acre

If you turn the drive wheel by hand do you feel any resistance? Take the feed roller out and see if it feels any different, I'd a problem with opico because drive roller was dragging.

What rate are u doing? Is it ground drive or different on ure system ?

Was sowing at 12 kg/acre set at 22 on seeder Ground drive to gearbox top pic

the yellow elbow shaped roller indicator still turns

so either a gear is slipping or I have sticky seed

What seeder unit is on it looks very similar to my opico type. Mine has a little toothed belt inside a cover and I’m suspecting if u have belt it’s slipping under load. Can U adjust the brush on roller to stop clogging up?

Einbock seeder. there’s a chain drive on the far side it’s ok Brush is set in the third notch so lots of clearance

12kg acre on a 4.5m machine should be easily achievable on that machine. Ours is 6m and can put on 15kg/acre no bother.

What happens when you calibrate it?

Seed rate not an issue but when you put 8 bags into the tank cover 7 acres and the tank is still half full somethings wrong. It calibrates perfectly
