Interesting. 2 year deal with edf coming to an end . They want to go up by 23% to renew. Paying 15.4p and 18p per day at moment 🤮🤮🤮
When you say they wanted another 23% do you mean that's what their initial offer letter stated? If so then don't worry. Every company does that hoping that the punter just rolls over and has another nap. It's not actually a serious offer, you need to pick up the phone to get that. Then you ring all the other companies. We recently signed a three year contract for less than we were paying last year.

Don’t worry. No chance of accepting that. Will run the lot through price comparison. We have fairly large usage so will be screwing the bill right back

Pretty much all of the companies have peed off people on here. Bristish Gas were our worst experience a few years ago. Just the luck of the draw.

Just got a letter today from Opus Business Energy. Telling me there's a 7.2% rise in the unit rate, starting today. If I get my fingers out and start counting, I make that, well, zero days' notice. This is a 4-year contract that we agreed 10 months ago. So I'm out looking yet again - so annoying when I thought it was all settled for some time to come.

I'd suggest this is one company to avoid.
