Just bite the bullet and get them a little quad or MX bike, the earlier they fall off the sooner (and easier) they get back on and respect the speed and power and less likely to seriously hurt them self when they jump on the farm quad when your not there.
I’ve always preferred the Mx bike route as when (not if) they fall off it’s less weight and not going to crush them as you tend to fall away from a bike where as something 4 wheeled you tend to get sucked on to it and potentially crushed. Same applies to buggy’s etc.

Eldest is getting a bit tall for the jd gator.

Don't want to go down engine option just yet.
Any recommendations for a battery option? Jeep, buggy type thing.
Have a look at https://www.electric-wheels.co.uk/products/electric-utvs/corvus-terrain-pro-ex4-electric-utv/

Sorry to hijack but looking for a first time battery Jeep or gator, do I go 12v to start or 24v and pay the extra now?
So many different models and places to choose from, not keen on paying the JD premium though
