Go ab11 after ab9 and then in wheatAB9 has to be established by mid June, so you've lost a combinable crop before you've even sown it unless it's after a ley with a first cut taken off it. A 2 year plot would be ok if you followed it with a spring crop afterwards.

I am waiting with bated breath....
Do the rules allow a home brew blend?
I am working out if AB9 after an overwintered CC like Westerwolds, silaged, then drill into the green stubble would work...?
doesn't say anything like 'sow a recommended seed mix' so why not
You'd be prone to poor establishment if the weather was dry, which May/June can be. The silage would strip most of the moisture out. Good timing and little idle time though.

ideally you want to split the sowings.....cereals early april....rest early may IMO
ok my mix is 10kg each of millet/fodder radish/mustard/sunflower....so 40kg....add 325kg of wheat barley.....total 365kg so my cereal is 89%....so it is ok

I saw a report, about 10 yrs ago, basically saying, as the 'west' uses ever increasing regulations, on its industries, more and more 'jobs' will go east. As the east economies increase, their workers will start to demand more and more 'better' working conditions, at the same time western countries economies will shrink, and in time, the east will be exporting work to the west !!!Regulation will be what kills this economy before they are finished though.
No figures released for elms options payment ratesAll the crystal ball gazers othering profit of doom on here can I ask where you are getting your figures from for the new scheme? I cannot find a good source of information to back up any of the claims being made on here all I can find is the cs scheme rates and looking at some of the options I can easily make up the lost sub in the first 2 years for not a lot of work ,or was you expecting to get bps and the elms payment at the same time
