do I need to get my domain email address from my domain name company?
£65 from 123reg just seems quite expensive just for an email address!

123reg charge for email - move your domain to someone like siteground that include free email or point the domain at a MS365 account which is something like £3.50/month for a basic exchange service

www.protonmail.com 5 quid a month very secure , dont allow email data sweeps (unlike many others )

You can add your domain to gmail and then have all the functionality that comes with it (google docs, imap etc). It's been many years since i set mine up but it was painless and free (they might charge now though).
