Ending Stewardship Early

I've been on at the RPA since this time last year to try and end my CS early. They eventually got back late April 24 to say that I could end my agreement with immediate effect in, but wouldn't get paid for 2024 revenue. As was already so much through the year and was waiting for sfi24 options to be released I said would hold fire as they said the other option was to end at end of 2024.

I can't be the only one, but have been emailing and phoning them for three weeks now, and get the auto email response saying 30 working days to reply. And then get personalised emails to say that they are passing on to 'specialist team' .. (who are never in to take a call and never respond to emails.)

I've found a few clues online eg: https://theandersonscentre.co.uk/ending-agrienvironment-agreements-early-2/

These all talk of September being the date we'll be allowed to do it. But no one at RPA has a scooby? Anyone had any more luck getting information?

CS was/is 5 year term with Jan 1st start dates and December 31st end dates. If you get agreement to end early I’m sure it would have to be at 31st December. Be careful they do t ask for payment back for agreement term.
Get any agreement change in writing before doing something on the ground that may put you at odds with RPA.
SFI 24 might be sorted by December! :ROFLMAO:

Unless you were on a rolled over agreement, but I’m very wary of rolling over CS agreements. Can back date any fines to beginning date!

The RPA might be amenable but NE less so. The two are at odds.
The rpa have agreed in principle that we can jump ship but haven’t made the move to do so.
Lots of meetings taking place between them and farming groups and agents but no movement as far as progress

These schemes are very bad for our blood pressure and mental health.

At present I'm trying to explain to the RPA why I have claimed on more land than I now have.................it's because we have had another RPA re-mapping and the field has apparently shrunk from the last time the RPA mapped it when the agreement started !!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Is that my fault.....no......... but how do you get an over educated person, that probably has a degree in something bizaar, to actually understand !?!

We call the agreements that were rolled over.. Mirror agreements... They were signed in good faith that we could leave and join SFI when it was ready.. It is ready and no mirror agreement holders can escape the miserable EU CS misery...😊
