I'm half Welsh so I'm not anti Welsh lamb just
think English marketing of lamb is poor in the UK.
I agree with you . British needs to be pushed .There has never been a better time to do that .The EU is shooting itself in the foot as far as marketing is concerned. Sticking 2 fingers up to its main customer .
I'm not defeatist like @Cowabunga we are all doomed like , I think there is a bright future for British Produce

Not if you get your way there isn't. 'Think' doesn't 'make it so'.

What does get my way mean
May I remind you that the Welsh assembly was built on on 700 votes

I cannot fathom that a person who is proud of his historic association with protesting and dumping a dead cow at the Welsh Office when prospects were previously poor, now that he is well established and comfortable with tens of hundreds of acres, can't see the infinitely more grave prospect we are facing now and actually, as Bomber Harris alludes, has turned into a turkey voting for Christmas. What has changed you over 35 years to change you from being actively concerned to effectively saying 'f**k you!' to fellow farmer's prospects? Is it the comfort of wealth, at least on paper. I'm damned sure you, or certainly your family, would have had a completely different attitude back in the day if the current circumstances were to present. You would have been foremost in protecting the interests of the livestock farming industry and your family's prospects.

Perhaps he's hinting to buy your farm.
He needs to invest all that money he's made from straw:greedy:

Wether we stay in or go out he's right that marketing of brand British needs to be improved..

The milk in the local shops can have a Union Jack, St George's cross or St Pirans flag on them, don't ever see Scottish or Welsh milk but do see Scottish & Welsh meat!? Why the difference?

My point was that if milk can be labelled more regional & quite often with a story of the farmer on it as well, then why can't beef? Or is it that quite alot of beef is imported & the supermarkets would prefer not to clearly label it?

The thing is your view is a farming minority as the majority of farmers voted out . But I yield to your superior knowledge.

You miss the point completely and the fact that so many in Parliament just can't agree on the type of Brexit they want, even with only a few days left. This is a bloody CRISIS and you seem oblivious to it. Far more is at stake than when you protested about bloody quotas, pictures of which you have proudly posted only a few days ago, showing your [father's] protest. If you haven't figured it out yet, the prosperity and future prospects for the UK and our children is at stake. Nobody but nobody apart from some public school millionaire toffs believes that getting out of the EU is going to do anything but make everyone poorer and some into paupers.

I have farmers telling me every day that they voted remain but they glad leave won now after what they have seen how the EU have behaved
It's a shame you have no faith in your Country

"Faith"! That is something I certainly do not believe in. I go by evidence, probability, economics and facts, not faith. If I were you I would [do] rely on more than faith. Where was your bloody faith when you dumped the corpse of the cow at the steps of the Welsh Office?

Watching parliament the last two years has just galvanised my thoughts that it’s better to have some power devolved - up and down.
You have devolved power and even tax raising and lawmaking provision in your own parliament up there already of course. This brexit business has a fair potential for breaking the UK apart of course, leaving just little old England and Wales. It is a very real prospect now. Cameron, the idiot, [where is he now?] along with Farage [who finances him apart from the EU itself?] has let the genie out of the bottle and all hell has prevailed ever since and so it will well into the future.
