as for the NHS the waiting list could be wiped out over night is the government want to, but they rather spend the money in TAX cuts to their friends

Or move to a USA based insurance system. Make everyone pay for it direct. Then the poor couldn't afford health care. And the waiting list would as if by majic reduce. I believe President Trump calls it socialism. Just a thought.

and do you remember what it was like pre EU, always running with the begging bowl out to the USA, and finally going to the IMF for the biggest loan ever, cause we were in effect bankrupt. so yes the EU has been overall good for out economy.

No I don't remember pre EU. Maybe we would have been worse off if we hadn't had all the benefits associated with the EU.

Reports that Boris has chucked the British fishermen under the trawler and made big concessions on state aid. He’s even going to have brekkie with Ursula Von Der Leyen!

As about only 6% of the fish quota is held by small scale inshore fishermen, I definitely think they should get something out of Brexit. As for the fat cats and foreign companies that own all the rest, tough!

I never understood the fish quota thing. Who set it up and who admin it and if it's a EU thing why is it still inplace now we have gone. Would it not be like the milk quota one day it was there, and next day it wasn't ?

It goes back before the EU and was started by the UK bringing about the London Fisheries Convention in the mid 1960's which set up fishing access rights around Europe, It has been somewhat superseded by the EU Common Fisheries Policy. However, the UK is now withdrawing from both.
