No, it works for others too. Here's a post from my favourite scientist...Oh, you meant for you personally?

That's wonderful. NPI's worked. Or do you think it's all been a scam?Excess mortality in the United States in the 21st century
We use three indexes to identify how age-specific mortality rates in the United States compare to those in a composite of five large European countries since 2000. First, we examine the ratio of age-specific death rates in the United States to those in Europe. These show a sharp deterioration in...www.pnas.org
It's easy to survive in the US with covid around and no vaccine than it was in 2017
It's not a deadly virusThat's wonderful. NPI's worked. Or do you think it's all been a scam?

Covid and flu are not from the same family, they are very different, not getting into which is worse, that's a different argument but covid is from the same family as a cold, very different from flu. Both Flu and Covid is a virus from the same family.
And most years Flu has killed far more people than Covid has done so in the UK.
She may well still be suffering from the after affects of the Covid virus but that can and does happen with ANY virus and no other Virus is called : Long Flu etc like Covid is called long Covid!
The Term : Long covid is a control method/scare tactic to get people to comply with the Governments rules/ regulations in regards Covid lockdowns!
Your mate needs to turn off the news/ radio/ Social media in the first instance for her road to recovery!
Exactly, it's basically the common cold, the old and vulnerable have always died of the common cold.Covid and flu are not from the same family, they are very different, not getting into which is worse, that's a different argument but covid is from the same family as a cold, very different from flu.
Do 800 nhs staff die every year from a cold ?Exactly, it's basically the common cold, the old and vulnerable have always died of the common cold.
So by the same logic so is the plague as it has the same symptoms.Exactly, it's basically the common cold, the old and vulnerable have always died of the common cold.
Think you'll find the plague affected mortality figures. So by the same logic so is the plague as it has the same symptoms.
I presume you are aware how a lot of your remarks come across to those who have lost friends, family and colleagues to the virus especially those otherwise fit and healthy.
I don't believe it was your comment but I did wonder what the reaction on here if the "Well some will live some will die" comment was applied to BTb. I can just see the fury and anger if May came out and used the same reasoning to stop the cull and the compensation schemes.

So the total number of deaths just spiked over the last five year because people suddenly on mass decided to drop dead?
Deaths looked to be running below average all winter up until March and also slightly below average since July, so perhaps there were more vulnerable and elderly people who had survived the 2019/2020 winter and were more susceptible to covid?
Perhaps - if the bit below the curve in the early part was remotely similar to the bit above it later, but it wasn’t.
But a 5 year 'bank' of elderly from below average deaths suddenly hit by a virus would cause a pretty big spike. Thankfully they will be vaccinated in future so no more spikes.Perhaps - if the bit below the curve in the early part was remotely similar to the bit above it later, but it wasn’t.
I think they are below. The good news is; the vaccines work.I just find it odd that we never seem to get ONS weekly or monthly death figures reported on the news now like we did during the peak of the 'pandemic' maybe they're back to average or below now, so no need to report good news.
Nothing wrong with cashing in on a crisis at the expense of public health.I think they are below. The good news is; the vaccines work.
The bad news is; the RCN are polling nurses about going on strike. I hope our new HS is given some wiggle room on that 1%

Yes but it's over now. The vaccine is wonderful and is preventing severe illness and death so get on with life. I may get covid real bad and die but it's very very unlikely. Stop with the fear mongering, new variants, mutations, more transmissible, more deadly. Its always reported as possibly worse! Why rely on the news when you can look it up yourself?
It could, but that wasn’t what was suggested. Mortality rates have been falling progressively for a long time now as healthcare has improved, but do we a really want to think “oh well, it’s only the reversal of a few decade of improvements, nothing to worry about”? Fact is, this is the biggest increase in age adjusted mortality in a very long time, not some quirky statistical anomaly.
