NO, any sign or admission of causing a problem, will automatically assume you are in the wrong, and every time you want to do anything, you will be ringing all the village, with all the hassle.
One bit of advice my old man told me was this, reguarding 'new comers'
'you had better fall out with them, nicely. in the beginning, as nastily in the end'.
words I have followed, and over the years, been very thankful I had, the other benefit is, 'could you top my paddock, a hole to tip rubbish in, and similar !

Was purely tongue in cheek in reference to 'being nearly in tears '
