Ewes dying

I knew it was all going too well. Cheviot ewes are dropping like flies. Lost one on Friday - no obvious symptoms, ewe in good nick, doing lambs well. Thought it was just one of those things.
Then 2 Saturday morning. One had struggled a little so went belt and braces with magnesium. Another dead in the evening.
Then nothing Sunday Monday, but another dead tonight. They are all in good condition. 3 with twins, 2 singles. Lambs all flying. Ewes have blown up - this one was still warm this evening and was huge and tight as a drum. She did have some green discharge from her nose and mouth. Lamb is 10 days old. Any ideas? Am getting v depressed, and feel sick every time I go round them.

It looks like tetany, with the colder night were having it will bring it on especially in hill bred ewes feeding on good land, used to find that when we had draft hill ewes here

I,d say clostridial, probably struck. Had one last week just like that, no sign of struggle just drop dead and blow up.

Been a funny time weather wise for sheep, great it's dry and calm but the temperature differences has led to more puenmonia than normal in the lambs.

They've got normal blocks, mag salt blocks and mag in the water...
Ewes are in good condition, fluked on arrival and we've never had fluke here. Yet.
Next one is being pm'd. If it wasn't too late I would have taken this one.
If they're bought in, were they used to block minerals?
Had a bought in group dropping like flies turned out they were used to powder and we fed blocks, put powder out and it soon eased up.

Yes I asked him pre lambing, he uses blocks. They are definitely taking them.
