Excellent article about rewilding

I see that Stark, CEO of the climate change committee, in their 600 page progress report to government has stated that net zero (legally binding on U.K. for 2050 thanks to T May) will not be achieved unless “large swathes of the country are rewilded” saying U.K. agriculture is “glacial” in reducing emissions by at least 34%.

Good luck with that one Pillock whilst food costs are rising and perhaps there is finally some recognition of food security
A complete and utter pillock he may be but he’s in a position of influence.
However if the whole of U.K. farmland was rewilded it wouldn’t make a huge difference to the country’s carbon emissions but we would have to import all our food from elsewhere in the world, quite possibly countries with lower standards than our own along with all the additional transport.
So globally, rewinding all U.K. farmland would actually increase global emissions.

What a fekkin pillock

added to which we are almost bankrupt as it is, how does he think we will pay for the imports? Just watched a Groundswell video,
They are aiming to be Carbon neutral and properly so, not the fake or ersatz Carbon Neutral our politicians crow about.

He’s right up there with Michael O’Leary in the big leagues of people who somehow managed to get a job waaaay beyond their mental abilities. Actually, Chris Stark is a much more dangerous person. O’Leary can only fekk your holiday up.
