Export electricity prices

Our export contract is up for renewal. We prefer to deal with a smaller co not the big 6 as we think they are better /quicker at sorting any problems, but it means we don't get the Govt guaranteed price. We export about 100,000Kwh per annum, wind generated, E Mids area. Been offered 5.15p (1 yr). Anyone else done recent deals?

Sounds pretty good.
Maybe its worth getting a few quotes though?
I use Limejump, they did a good fixed annual contract for my PV array.
Opus Energy also worth a try

what are embedded benefits?

We supply FITS reading to them quarterly and they claim FITS for us and pay it to us.
They pay us the price quoted for export elec (we use some on site so not all exported).
We pay by contra for data collected which is done by STARK. When we have had some nil generation months (long story) they have and not asked us to pay the DC charges until we have some revenue again. (still annoying having to pay for DC when there is no data though!)

right, I've now looked to see what my purchaser says about embedded benefits and it appears as though these are only paid (on their contracts) to larger generators? Ours is a fixed price contract. Are some of you getting embedded benefits with our low export volumes? ?Incidentally, what is anyone paying for data collection?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
