Exporting hay

I’ve got some hay for sale in big square bales and a chap got in touch with me say how many and what size are they. Told him and he said he’d take them all. I gave him my number and he called. The number came up on my phone saying it was a Malta number.I didn’t answer.As far as I understand he wanted them putting in a container three high and I presume he ship it to Malta. Said he wanted 1000 bales. I didn’t go with it as I can’t get an artic in my yard or fancied putting bales into a container. The 1st few rows might be ok but after that could be a bit of a nightmare.

Our region is awash with hay and we are less than half your distance to Malta?
Straw though . I did hear yesterday, it’s coming from Spain now, we switched to bedding 50/50 with hay some weeks ago.

Yes, and we are far from the sea so...
Why don’t you sell it? Surely they would just keep pushing up, getting them off would be more a pain but not your problem

He wanted all of to fill the container, I can get an artic in the yard , I don’t think I my loadall would push the hay into the container 1st 3or4 rows ok but after that. I’ve a few customers who get a few over the winter and I’d lose them

Surely there's no need to export hay this year, very short in the east
