These Charollais sired lambs really are impressing me so far out of the EC ewes. Lots of get up and go and good lambs.
If they turn out like the ones we used to get when we had a few EC ewes, I don't think you'll be disappointed...

Ground is saturated again after 18hrs of rain, admittedly light, but still wetting...

Sheep stopping in, and now I'm wondering if I need to clear the old grain shed as well, ready for ewes and lambs to be moved into if the forecast is right. :( Got plenty of fodder still and saves poaching fields and getting lambs sick.

BUT.... what to do about the embarassment of the grass on the turnout field? Need a frost to slow it up a bit.... Weird old time. 🤷‍♂️
well at least you loads of grass, i just puddles en mud :ROFLMAO:

Yes anthracite, but it smells like coal tar , we let it go out and I am giving it a deep clean ( between bloody sheep problems)
Old chap said occasionally in the past the coal man said he couldn’t get uk coal so it
was columbian or some such 🤦‍♀️
And there was me thinking that burning some Colombian black meant something completely different!
