Failed WB feed mix - Seed options?

Got to redrill for a neighbour, about 1ha of WB mix that failed on heavy clay during the drought...

Bugger all weed growth and very dry underneath, so I will stich straight in with the little Logic drill. Just wondering what can go in now, preferably something that will last until into 2021, but failing that, last at least this winter! Need the game cover for a drive!! ;)

Whats the best option this week with some rain about... maybe?

If it’s a mix for an enviro scheme, is there a spec stipulated (there is for Glastir in Wales). I’ve just redrilled some here yesterday, for the 3rd time. Drought got the first attempt, slugs & monsoon got the second.:banghead: Scary the amount of grey slugs loitering below the surface when you have a scrat about, so I’ve fed them well too.

And pollen beetle to make sure there's no seeds on anything that escapes the FB. Good job we're not on 'payment by results' for enviro schemes yet
Yeah. I thought all these diverse covers were supposed to be amazing as an example of what we could achieve if we saw the light but frankly going by results here they look frigging terrible. @Brisel will you be redrilling your AB9 after 1 year instead of 2 if all the kale has failed?

No resowing. There’s enough for the first winter’s seed in the 5 other species. I’ll just have to resow them all next year. All were sown late May just ahead of significant rainfall.

Will you help clear snow?
