I believe the annual return from them is a big help if you get an inspection for cross compliance, also it’s handy to cross reference your records to make sure all have been recorded. With just cattle it’s probably not much help but with Sheep it’s handy.Had invoice from nfsco £4.55 today telling me none of my cattle have died . What a great money maker times a few thousand farmers .
If cattle die you pay for disposal I understand that but paying for nothing is ??
Agree another money making quango like assurance schemes, we are getting shafted all ways but our fault as a collective we allow it.Had invoice from nfsco £4.55 today telling me none of my cattle have died . What a great money maker times a few thousand farmers .

You don't have to join the nfsco scheme though. If you don't lose much stock you can just pay your knackerman direct. Tbh I find it far less hassle through nfsco than before.Agree another money making quango like assurance schemes, we are getting shafted all ways but our fault as a collective we allow it.
You do in a way because it makes life easier with assurance and inspections the whole job is a joke. You don't have to join the nfsco scheme though. If you don't lose much stock you can just pay your knackerman direct. Tbh I find it far less hassle through nfsco than before.

I don’t think the hunt can take OTM
Hunt never could take otm, they are a useless bunch of tosspots and have ran down the knackery until last month they packed it in altogether. Can you not get fallen stock tickets from the local hunt? Combine with herd/flock management software and you're sorted.

you can opt out of the annual return, didn't see the point you get a monthly invoice.
never used to check up much on the invoices but have started to check every month, a few new born calves charged at 2-3mths soon adds up! chancers
