Farm diversity magazine

I work for Euromedia and we will be launching a new free magazine this year for farmers looking to diversify. It would be great to hear from farmers what you would like to see in the magazine.
Do you have questions you would like answering? We would love to hear your thoughts.

Along with the printed publication there will be a website running alongside with loads of useful information and facts.

If youd be interested in receiving our launch issue drop me and email

Thanks for reading

How about articles on Cut flowers and how to do it! Also get it into small market town news agents where a lot of rural people shop.

Have you had a look a the website Flowers from the Farm? They are a member organisation that operates all around the country and most of the members have made great businesses out of growing cut flowers from the smallest patches of land. They also run a number of workshops that may be of interest.

Take a look: https://www.flowersfromthefarm.co.uk/

Possible articles relavant to areas of The Country and contacts in those areas that any diversifications need to progress ie. The Local Authorities (planning, regeneration, community schemes, advice ,grants, help etc)
Agricultural help and Guidance online links,Government links etc through existing Farmers and Landowners Gateways or others that are available maybe.
Taxation implications.
Rules, regs and hoops you got to go through.
Customers , repeat Customers, niche Markets, EU and World wide markets.
Advertising, and online enhancement topics maybe?
Feature articles-good and bad .
Etc etc.
Huge topic and will interest all landowners if presented and relavant, current ,updated information available.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, and giving some really useful information. We will definitely research the areas you have suggested.

The website for the magazine is now live if you would like to take a look www.farmdiversity.co.uk.

It would be kindly appreciated if you could subscribe to the free magazine on the site.

If you have anything else you would like to suggest please get in touch.

Get yourself a decent proofreader who knows what an apostrophe should look like - always disappoints when a commercial publisher can't get the basics right. Website looks very slick (albeit there's not a huge amount of content yet), and then we have "PR's" and "Deli's" :scratchhead:.

I'm available on a contract basis if you've got the budget.

Thanks for your reply. We're glad you like the website, but could I just clarify what you mean by "PRs" and "Deli's"

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
