We are hosting a no-till day next week, Tuesday 25th March, starting at 10.30 for a cup of coffee, with Bill Crabtree giving a talk and answering questions for an hour or two, followed by a bit of a farm tour to look at some of our crops, all direct drilled with a 6m 750a.

I appreciate it's very last minute, but we only heard from Bill last week that he was going to be in the UK next week and thought it was worth organising a chance for us poms to hear this Australian legend talk. Although conditions in W Australia (where Bill has effectively persuaded 90% of farmers to convert to no-till techniques over the last thirty years) are obviously quite different from the UK, it is worth making the effort to hear him as he has extensive knowledge of no-till methods worldwide and the challenges that no-till farmers face.

This is a free event organised by BASE UK, open to non-members as well. PM me if interested and I'll send more details

Excellent. If you've got satnav the postcode is SG4 7AL, Darnalls Hall Farm, Weston. See you then.
Looks like there'll be a film person there, so remember to bring a hairbrush...
Let us know how many are planning to come so we can pinch enough chairs from the church shed

You're only 5 mins away from my in laws, so got to drop the Mrs off on the way.

Joe, not much to see on the mob-grazing just yet I'm afraid as animals are mostly in yards. Look forward to seeing you though, many thanks.
Last minute bookings accepted, but let us know you are coming so we can sort some lunch as well as a chair to sit on.
Sorry not to see you Dan
