Have spoken with UTASS. They are quite happy to receive donations and pass them on to Robert Hooper.

If you are a taxpayer they can claim Gift aid if you complete the form. They can take cheques and bank transfers, put on the back of the cheque what it is for or for a bank transfer the ref.

They are emailing me the bank details which they are happy for me to put on here and a gift aid form
Have you spoken to Mr Hooper or his partner Karen to see if they are okay with this .

I haven't, I don't think why there would be any problem. I know Robert is a member of UTASS and they will be in touch with him. I think the person I spoke to would have mentioned it if they thought I should contact him. Anything over and above the legal costs is going to agricultural charities
Goodo. I spoke to his partner at length on the phone last night . They deserve all the help they can get .
A new thread is a great idea .
 
I've just been rung by UTASS and there is a problem with them passing donations on. Some charity commission permission is needed so we can't send money to them after all. They say the giving site referred to above is cost free
