Going briefly back to everyone’s preferred drink a few pages ago, my old man sent me some of this stuff today - hell it certainly packs a punch. More of a whisky man myself but won’t say no to a tipple of pretty much anything - just a wee dram of this will do though I think!

Try it with apple juice as a mixer (proper apple juice, not that brown piz) it is surprisingly nice.

I've been digesting yesterday's UK Committee on Climate Change report on how agriculture has to change. Some of it is good, some is debatable and some is frankly daft.

I note that the dietary sub-group making food retail and consumption recommendations is stuffed with vested interests:

This little nugget amused me too. I wonder how all those farmers who voted for Brexit expecting the "red tape" to be cut will like it?

If they are not careful they will get shot of all the permanent grassland with cattle/sheep on it in favour of bloody sitka spruce and keep all the intensive farmland that is not so good for the environment and make matters worse as sitka is short term and most gets burnt anyway which I fail to see the point of
