With a ridge of higher pressure building from the Azores It will be a cold start to the day with a risk of frost and ice patches for Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the north of England. Any mist or fog patches will burn off to leave a drier and brighter day for most. It will be cloudier in the west with persistent light rain or drizzle possible for western coastal areas and hills. A threat of showers moving eastward over England and Wales through the afternoon. A mostly dry and bright day for eastern areas. High of 8 to 12C.

Further outlook summary:

It's looking mostly dry and settled for the next 6 days so a chance for the ground to dry up mild by day but expect ground frond frost at night and some fog patches too but after last week things are looking up.

Whatever your weather enjoy it!

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
