High Pressure is going to be over the UK and Ireland this weekend. A weak front is expected to become stationary over southern England and the far south of Wales, so drizzle and some patchy outbreaks of rain are likely here elsewhere cloudy skies in England & Wales - Showers in northern Ireland and western Scotland with the cloud breaking in eastern Scotland, it is going to feel chilly in the wind. Highs at a cooler 7 to 13C / 45 to 55F

Cloudy skies clears southern England on Sunday morning, so turning brighter for most as a ridge of high pressure builds through Ireland, England and Wales allowing for sunny spells. Breezy in Scotland with showers here, most of them in the north and west. Drier and brighter in eastern and southern Scotland. Highs up to 15C/59F

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
