That's not negative GUTH its realism based on my analysis of your stream of negative posts about me.
I've given you my number and suggested you phone me but you prefer to come on here and slag me off.
But, that's fair game and it doesnt spoil my day but don't I doubt I will ever impress you much.

No, not that bit, I must have miss read some posts I was not aware it was a bashing anyone thread, I was a bit lost re the lack of content here, does a forum not rely on its members to provide the content, and if such as yourself knew of updates in somerset, then it relies on that for feed back as to what is happening. Hence my tongue in cheek post about having a whip round for Jeremy and pay him as a reporter(y)

You did make a very stinging attack on my views about the NFU.. maybe you might want to look back at the posts you have posted.. I didn't reply as I respect anyone's views that differ to mine but you came across as thou wouldn't listen to anyone else's viewpoint but your own in the post I refer to....

Yep a Forum does depend on its members and JP1 has done an amazing job helping both with the forage relief/ getting practical help with the clear up/ reseeding etc and he quite rightly deserves all the credit that comes his way as what he has done has made a bloody massive difference to the farmers situation on the levels(y):)

What appears in bad taste is the owner of this forum posting a thread knocking the FW.. clearly what The owner of this froum has done is incredible and a very positive thing for the industry in the short/long term so I cant really see the need to knock the FW as if it doesn't change it will ( which it is fast becoming tbh ) irrevelant to the working farmer...

Bloody hell it wasn't me who said you were being negative on this thread to start with!!!

Hell there is no helping some people... why are you so out of touch with grassroots members?? ffs I have tried to have a laugh/ open the door tonight and you the VICE PRESIDENT of the NFU has thrown it back in my face....

You are the one that has stated on here tonight that members should not ANY have high hopes of your term as VP as you cant deliver anything....

You really couldn't make it up the way you come across on here... ( both in your attitude/ refusal point blank to answer/ respond to members concerns!!! )

What a shame how you relate/ your attitude to other members of the NFU.. sad sad day for both the industry/ the NFU..

Guy Smith appears on this forum under his name and tries to explain his own views and motivations and he is doing his best at a difficult job. We might not all agree with him, but I do wish the back seat drivers and armchair snipers would give him a chance and respect him for that.

im trying but he sure as hell doesn't help himself in the first place:scratchhead:

and this I still stand by.

I cant understand this :-

:scratchhead: to me this reads, you disagree with someone knocking FW, then you knock FW, please explain if I am misunderstanding it.

Guy you are the VP of the NFU and to make such crass statements as this about one of the people that you are paid to represent just about says it all about you!!!

Clearly your attitude isn't becoming of an NFU office holder and maybe you need to reconsider the way you attack grassroots NFU members...

Difference is I am just a member of TFF.. i do not have a vested intrested in either the FW or TFF ( other than i buy the FW/ am a member of TFF ) so its one thing for me to say something but quite another of either the owners of FW/ TFF to start knocking the other..

Well we didn't take long to establish my initial statement above did we GUTH?

As said repeatedly I'm happy to have a phone call and have a chat just as I am with any member.

There has been attempts i believe to have a separate NFU section on the TFF... Comes across on here that GS wants the publicity of being a TFF member to increase his influence with the 90 person council but at the same time refusing point blank/ attacking anyone who disagrees with him on here and making out in the latter cases that he is only posting as a private member not as NFU VP when it suits him..

Clearly he wants the best of both worlds.... what i don't understand is why he doesn't have two accounts : one as GS the farmer and one as the NFU vice President???:scratchhead::scratchhead:

Perhaps Guy can explain.....

But why aren't you happy to have an Offical NFU account on here and answer members questions in public in your role as NFU VP??:scratchhead:

@JP1 has done a massive amount for the farmers in somerset and I know that what he has done has been greatly appreciated by them and I have the upmost respect for JP1 for many reasons(y) ( the levels being just one of them )

You gave me a right bashing about my stance on the NFU the other week and maybe you were right/ wrong, who can really say in the long term tbh! Clearly problems with the content of the FW mag but maybe not good that the owner of the premier UK farming forum should be knocking them like this thread seems to appear as I haven't seen the FW knocking TFF..

You won't see FW knock TFF - they don't even seem to acknowledge we exist

Aside from the fight between GUTH and Guy, I for one was pleased to read Guys column this week about getting the message about falling production in this country being ignored by the government, and I hope that he is in a position to get this over to as many influential people as possible by whatever means
