Those drops are significant, but I’d hazard a guess at being less significant than the drop in printed press readers across the board? Some of the mainstream newspapers would kill to have dropped by those percentages?

subscription stuff is like gym membership for some, even if you never go you just forget to cancel the sub !

Haven't read the FW for years - this is the only bit I miss......
https://reader.fwi.co.uk/2018/03/01...aet-a-bit-like-a-defenderae/pugpig_index.html

is that REALLY that good content though ? doesn't do a lot for me reading it I have to say, you read similar opinion on here all time or go look at reviews on you-tube and many other blog sites etc ......... all of which are free

I dont think print offers anything much content wise but I do think that it is nice to sometimes have a bit of paper to read from vs a screen

It makes me smile (and let's face it, there's been bugger all to smile about on livestock farms these last few days) so IMHO, yes.

That's what I like about TFF, there's 101 Charlie Flindts on here spouting all sorts of amusing twaddle.
I can't be @rsed to go trawling about the internet looking for it but in pre-internet days you could usually raise a chuckle by turning to his (and his predecessors') page in the Yellow Peril on a Friday.

I like to think there will be a role for a while for someone to ask and answer the questions that you don't have time to go digging for. And that will be worth something to some people.

But there's no getting away from the fact that there will never be a time again when any publication has the power to be almost the sole funnel of information on a technical subject to anyone. And on balance, that's probably a good thing.

If you think that it is a rubbish publication why do you feel the need to make so many comments on it if it’s that poor surely you don’t need to worry yourself about it,the farming forum has got very repetitive in the last 12months if it wasn’t for brand new members possibly generated to regurgitate old threads this would be a lot quieter!

why am I not entitled to an opinion like anyone else posting on TFF ?

I have said many times i quite like to flick through my dads copy of FW when i pop round for Sunday lunch and there is without doubt something nice about a paper publication vs a screen, I dont think its worth the price tag however in this day and age and I don't think the content is all that great with much of it clearly being agenda filled advertorial , sorry if me saying so upsets you but that is my opinion

forums, magazine all get repetitive, there is only so much that can be discussed, people come and go from forums, cancel mag sub etc. nothing new just the way things, trust me its not something I ever "worry myself" about

Well said!

FW has its place (especially when discounted!)
TFF has its place.

Neither can replace the other. Both have good points and bad.
