Fearing Tags gone to the dogs ?

We have used Fearing tags for many years , usually answer phone ,take order and dispatch Tags quickly. Not anymore they dont. Waited two weeks, constant promises that they will be here tomorrow .In production they say ,really ? Believe they have been taken over (by Aliens) . Be warned money does get deducted from bank account. Oh and they dont reply to emails either . Shame used to be a good company.

That is a shame they were the first company I had a trade account many moons ago. Sadly I closed my account with them a couple of years ago as they began selling direct to farm and having cut my discount I was unable to offer discount off their price list. Can't remember now who owns them Ritchie or Allflex.

Caisley used to supply Fearings, they were only a few miles down the road and we used to pop over to collect tags at short notice from them. At some point in November time they (Fearings) suddenly vanished; the shop and office was shut and they've relocated to County Durham. We've since had a letter suggesting we knew they were moving however as far as I can tell most people (us included) had no idea they were off. Their facebook page doesn't mention anything about the move until after they'd gone either and has some fairly scathing reviews of their service since the move. I'm guessing the staff from around here haven't gone with them so it's probably a new team up there.

They also made the headlines after apparently failing to notice £340k going missing from their accounts for quite a long time (as you do).

Well don't go to Daltons. I'm not overjoyed with how the tags work. Never had noticeable bleeding with other tags but the sheep tags I use now don't seem to go through the ear easily and most sheep seem to be bleeding afterwards. Fiddly tags to work with as well.
I also had a technical problem with the stick reader I got off them but they have nobody who knows much about it and the young lad who eventually was given the problem promised to sort it. That was a couple of months ago but never heard from him since.

They have been owned by Richie for a while but to be honest we havnt used them for a while even though they are only a few miles away. Retention rates were awful at one point and the boxes came so muddly you used to have to hunt in the box for them. I would imagine they have relocated

We deal with Caisley for cattle tags and shearwell for the sheep, both extremely good service, come to think of it we should get them from one or the other! I would have thought Fearings would be ok as owned by Alflex , but hey, how things change[emoji53]

i used to use ritchey tags years ago, possibly the worst tags you could wish to use...they fell out on piece, was sick to death of buying replacements at £4!
Since moving to shearwell hardly any fall out

Ladies and Gentlemen, you may debate Cox vs Ritchey vs Dalton vs Shearwell vs Allflex.
You may spend all night debating this.
Small problem...they are all Allflex.
There are only three manufacturers left-
Allflex
Zee tags
Caisley.

And Allflex are driving the agenda within the EU
