the first day they left 2000 birds in a 16000 bird shed , so we had to catch them the next night,
next catch was last night, they came an hour early complained some bird on floor still. 3 artic lorries all modules unloaded by the time they should have turned up by which time all birds were up. The catchers refused to load waand tried to leave so i parked my truck so they could not go. Talked to the boss on the phone in the end they agreed to catch. I offered to help load and had my 4 staff plus my 3 boys give them a hand took 3 half hours to fill the lorries so not long.
We offered them a beer and food at the end of the night but i should have told the catching gang boss to f==k off. Have been in hens 10 years and never had such problems or attitude! Thinking of catching ourselves next change over 8800 birds i artic. Does anyone else catch themselves?

A catching gang came to a farm we were working on, they did nothing for hours, then they would catch for 15mins then go back and sit on the bus. Complaining, moaning, completely useless. We ended up catching to help, I think they started at 2am and we were helping catch at 9am, they didn’t care at all
