Feeding Sheep - Advice Wanted

Hi all, I'm new to sheep and looking for advice on feeding them. I only have 5, so very small scale and are and always will be pets. My grass is quite mossy and they have gone through most of the grass already. I do need to do some work on the quality of the grass. I'm feeding them hay every day as don't think they are getting enough otherwise. I have read loads online but there are so many different ways and opinions and most seem to relate specifically to lambing etc... which may not apply to me as not breeding. I'd like help on what I should be feeding and when / quantity and help with some of the terminology. Is it ok to feed hay daily throughout the year, should I be giving licks, what are concentrates, nuts, any treats? Sorry not being very precise! They are as tame as puppy dogs so don't need to feed to get them to come, they come when I call . Just want to make sure I keep them as healthy as possible and happy! If there is anything I haven't mentioned please tell me and forgive my ignorance! 4 wethers and 1 ewe, all nearly 6 months old. We're on creep / lamb mix at first but I weaned them off that a while ago, which they were not happy about! I am not worried about them at all just now, just want to prevent any future issues. Thanks!

If not breeding the grass should be enough, but hay supplementation all year is fine. If you feed anything else I'd limit it to sugar beet which helps keep their guts right. A handful each twice a day.

I'd guess at about third of an acre. The farmer I got them from said the area should be fine as I checked with him before I agreed to buy and when he dropped them off. My land has quite poor drainage as the soil is quite clay heavy in areas. They have started sticking their heads through the stock fencing to get to the grass out with their area. Just a bit worried they are hungry, but definitely not underweight! Lol. I'll try sugar beets. Thanks!

Oh dear, so I've been had then ;) if being fed are they still ok to stay on that size of land? I poo pick regularly so there doesn't end up more poo than grass! Am I bed too put out a full bale of hay and just let them munch ad lib? I have more land by the fencing is not sheep proof and to be honest I like having them near me. But as ever, it should be what's best for them.

This is about a third of the overall size and the better looking option! Really happy with the size of my shelter tho haha!

Good, although the grass doesn't look quite like that now. I will get the rest of the fencing done, only moved onto the 'small holding dream' a few months ago, so it's on the ever increasing to do list. Should I be giving them licks at any point or not generally needed if not breeding? They are very addictive, sheep not the licks. I've not tried them myself.

'ess. Trust me if I could jack the day job and spend it instead fixing things, weeding, cutting grass and picking up poo, I'd be a very content sheperdess! Are most folks on here proper farmers?
