Evening all got a problem with a fella th680 Tedder when using it Tedder is constantly yawing backwards and forwards no matter what speed just wondering if anyone has had sa problem and how they sorted it thanks

This is important and makes a huge difference. I find it difficult to stop on our old machine on a 40 series Ford. You really need the turnbuckle check bars rather than the nearest ovalled hole.
Reducing forward speed helps as well.

check chains need to be tight both sides and machine set to be directly behind tractor. You also set the top link length to control rotor pitch - NOT the height of lower links ( in case you werent aware )

Incidentally the tine are not handed and I find that it is always the inside tine that breaks first. I have taken to lopping of about 18mm on the inside finger/tine before fitting.
When short of tine I fitted a few hay bob tines and they have not broken yet. There are some original tines on the machine which leads me to believe some of the aftermarket tines are made from substandard material.
