I have two clamps for pulling the wire up, will a 250 kg lever hoist be strong enough to pull up HT pig netting? I have a larger lever hoist, but it's quite heavy to carry about.

I usually use a quick fencer, when the manitou brakes can't hold the wire it is tight enough.

I have tried with the Hayes type strainer but you can only pull one wire at a time and it can distort the squares

Yes no problem if you have two hoists

yes it should be ok, should pull it tight enough, coomon mistake some people make it to over pull wire, causing alsorts of probs , the first one in extreme cases being the strainer popping out of the ground
but use a small chain or rope / we used to use a mooring rope,/ to pull from both ends of the clamp to centralise the pull, not just one from the centre of it.
